Problems Connecting Using a Router

If you find you are having trouble getting around on the net and you are using a router there can be a couple of things that could be going wrong. Most of the time the solution is simple.|
Here are the steps for the simple solution:
Unplug your DSL modems power cable.
Unplug your Routers power cable.
Wait 10 seconds.
Plug your modem back in. Wait a minute or two.
Ensure your modem is in sync. Here is how to check for the models WTC Communications issues:
ADSL Link light should be solid.
All four lights should be green.
The PWR and SYN light should be green. The SYS light should flash.
The PWR and Line Sync lights should be green.
Elastic Hump Back:
The Lightning Bolt and Network Fork lights should be green.
Once you have confirmed the modem is in sync, plug your router back in and wait a moment or so.
This should fix the problem! If it doesn't however, you may need to check your routers settings and maybe contact the router vendor's tech support line.
