WinXP error: Limited or No Connectivity
Posted by Clarke M on 28 March 2006 06:31 PM
When XP service pack 2 is installed your Local Area Network(LAN) Connection may display this message even if the connection is just fine. It's nothing to be concerned about, just means that no DHCP server was found on your network. If you find the message a little annoying here is what you do:

Double-click on the Local Area Connection icon in the system tray and the "Network Connections" window will appear.

Double-click on the Local Area Connection icon in the "Network Connections" window and the "Local Area Connection Properties" window will appear.

On the General Tab, uncheck "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity".

That's it! No more message.
