Browser or Email Program Does Not Launch Dial-up Connection

Here's the scenario: you open up your favourite browser or email program. Instead of opening the dial-up connection to make a connection to the Internet before trying to check mail or pull in a web site, it just gives you error about servers not being available.|
Here's what you do:
1.) Open your control panel. Depending on the version of Windows you have, this will either be in My Computer on the desktop, and/or in your Start menu (if not immediately visible, check under settings.
2.) Double-click on Internet Options. (If this is not available, you are likely running Windows XP. It will be in the Network Connections category)
3.) Once Internet Options is open, click on the tab at the top that says "Connections".
4.) You will see a large white window that lists your dial-up connections. Under this window, there are three choices ranging from "Never Dial a Connection" to "Always Dial my Default Connection."
5.) Place the dot beside "Always Dial my Default Connection."
6.) Now, programs that need to access the Internet will automatically bring up a dial-up window when the program is open.
In rare occasions, Windows will simply stop doing this, even if the dot is in the right place. In this case, please contact your friendly tech support department at 273-6939 opt. 2, or 547-6939 opt. 2 and let us know what is happening.
