We've all heard of them. We've heard all of the horror stories, and read all of the doom and gloom articles on them. Yes folks, today I'm talking about cookies. Those wonderful little text files that websites will deposit on your computer from time to time to remember you by.

Thankfully, with Internet Explorer version 6.0, we now have a way to control, even more so than before, which websites we will allow cookies from. Here's how:

Open Internet Explorer
Click on the Tools menu, and then click on Internet Options

Click the Privacy tab

Near the bottom right hand corner of the screen, you will notice an Edit button. Thats where we need to go. The following screen will appear:

You will notice then, that we can type the website in the appropriate field, and then decided to Always Allow cookies from this site, or Always Deny cookies from this site. It's that easy icon_wink.gif

Keep in mind that much of what you read with regards to cookies is slightly excessive. Yes, there are some unscrupulous individuals out there that will take advantage of this technology, but for the most part, they are quite harmless, and quite necessary. Until next time folks, happy surfing icon_wink.gif
