Outlook Express Disconnecting

Many times during a typical day here, we receive calls pertaining to a common problem with Outlook Express. This problem is Outlook Express hanging up after it is finished a "Send and Receive" operation. Fortunately, there is a painless resolution to this issue. The fix is here:

- Open Outlook Express
- Click on the Tools Menu, then click on Options
- Click on the Connections tab
- Locate the option called "Hang Up after Sending and Receiving", and remove the checkmark beside it by clicking in the checkbox
- Click on OK

You can now feel free to check for new email, and send email without fear of your internet connection being disconnected.
